Q: What is Decaf Before Death?
A: Decaf Before Death is a quarterly coffee subscription delivering premium decaf coffees from world-class roasters. Each box contains 4 x 60g bags (240g total) of carefully selected decafs, with a focus on natural, experimental processes, and top producers. Every selection includes tasting notes and roaster stories.

A: We specialise in exceptional decafs, selecting coffees for their distinctive flavours and exceptional quality.
How It Works
Q: How does the subscription work?
A: The process is straightforward:
- Receive 4 unique decafs every quarter
- Boxes ship at the end of February, May, August, and November
- Each delivery includes tasting notes and information about the coffee and roasters
- Ideal for exploring premium decaf coffee
Q: When are the delivery dates?
A: Our quarterly schedule:
- Order by the 15th of the drop month
- We ship between the 25th-28th of February, May, August, and November
- Most customers receive their box within 3-5 working days
Payment Details
Q: How much does it cost?
A: The subscription is £25 per quarter, plus shipping. This includes:
- 4 x 60g bags of decaf coffee (240g total)
- Tasting notes and roaster information
- Quarterly delivery
Q: When will I be charged?
A: We charge all subscribers on four dates each year:
- 15th February
- 15th May
- 15th August
- 15th November
Your first box is charged when you order, and all future charges align with these quarterly dates.
Quality & Sourcing
Q: How fresh is the coffee?
A: We ensure all coffee is freshly roasted before packing and shipping. For UK roasters, you'll receive coffee within days of roasting. For international selections, coffee might be 1-2 weeks off roast due to shipping times.
Q: Do you sell ground coffee?
A: No, we only sell whole beans. Grinding coffee just before brewing ensures maximum freshness, flavour, and aroma, which are essential for the best coffee experience. Pre-ground coffee loses its quality much faster due to exposure to oxygen, moisture, and light.
If you don’t have a grinder, we’re happy to provide advice on choosing the right one to suit your needs—just reach out!
Q: Can I choose my coffees?
A: At present, we curate each box to showcase a range of exceptional decafs. We plan to introduce customisation options as we grow.
Managing Your Subscription
Q: Can I skip a quarter or pause?
A: Yes. You can manage your subscription through your account to skip a quarter, pause, or cancel at any time.
Q: Do you offer refunds?
A: Due to the perishable nature of coffee, we cannot offer refunds once a box has shipped. If there's an issue with your order, please contact us and we'll resolve it.

Q: Where do you deliver?
A: We deliver to the UK and in select EU countries
We ship to:

Important Information: Shipping starts from £5.50 with Royal Mail International and delivery time is between 3 - 5 working days. At this stage, the customer is responsible for any additional fees such as local VAT (varies by country), import duties if applicable and any customs handling fees.

Q: Can I track my delivery?
A: Yes. Select tracked shipping at checkout to receive updates on your delivery.
